Qype: L'hotel du Nord in Paris

Paris - Restaurants - French

How funny, that I haven't reviewed l'Hotel du Nord. Fantastic setting and ambiance, as the other reviewers agree. The food that I ordered wasn't exactly perfect, a confit du carnard with mash that made it a bit dry. But don't let that put you off, my fellow diners all enjoy superb meals, and the wine was fantastic, so I was perhaps just a bit unlucky.

It was raining a lot when I came, so didn't get to complete the evening with the canal stroll, but will next time. Recommended.

Qype: Taco N Burrito Palace in Chicago

Chicago - Restaurants - Take Away - Restaurants - Mexican

Ah, The Taco N' Burrito palace! What better place to gorge on extremely large fatty food after a hard night's dancing to blues bands? I must confess, this was actually the first burrito I'd ever eaten in my life! I am however, now really into them, and have found similarly good places in Hamburg (Kombuse). I couldn't finish mine - so bonus points if you can...

Qype: Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg

Hamburg - Nightlife - Clubs

The budget end of clubbing in Hamburg, but one of the best venues in my opinion! I'd actually been here a long time ago but couldn't remember that much about it, it's probably even smaller than the Grüner Jäger, scout-hut chic. Entrance is 2€, and beers are cheap. When do you see Augustina for under 3€ in a club?! Music is generally excellent, fun crowd, only downer being that it's packed so you are limited in what moves you can pull on the dancefloor...

Qype: The Old Ship in London

London - Pubs & Bars - Pubs

The Old Ship actually isn't that bad of a pub, I think it just suffers from being 1 minute walk away from some much better pubs! The Waterman's is just round the corner, The White Cross a stone's throw away, so we never came in here that much. One good plus point is that they show the football, and in the summer get the TV outside in the little courtyard, which is nice. Standard range of Young's ale on tap, and passable food.
