Hotels Oh Adagio, it's the little things that make the difference. I don't usually give anywhere 2 stars, because that's the optimistic happy person I am, and indeed, this one started well. I was busy searching for the cheapest place with free wifi in the 8eme, and found this just around the corner from the office. A snip, at "only" €140, compared to everything else. Initially, it did look OK too - big rooms, big beds, even a bath! However, the niggles take it down.
The biggest gripe for me, is that it's around 30 degrees in the room, and there's no way to make it colder. The coldest setting is "sauna". Of course, you could open the window, but Hausmann isn't the quietest of streets, to say the least! Then the fact that the free wifi will only let you make one page view without dying, is also rather frustrating.
On the plus side, the staff are very friendly, and contrary to other reports, they do clean the rooms everyday. I don't really want to stay here again though.
