Qype: J Pizzeria in London

Can't comment on the Italian food in J, as I went here by chance for breakfast, which was top notch! If you get in before 1200 (not too much to ask eh?!) then you get a whole pound off, so a full English with:

2 eggs of your choosing
2 bacon
2 sausages
2 toast

plus beans, tomatoes and mushrooms will set you back a barginous 4.50 - in Primrose Hill!

OK - the freshly squeezed orange juice is 2.70, so they're making it up on the extras, but if you skip that it's great value.

Attentive service, and pleasant window seating for people watching/celeb spotting.

Qype: Victoria Family and Commercial hotel in Leeds

Leeds - Pubs & Bars - Pubs - Pubs & Bars - Bars - Jazz & Blues

The Victoria is one of my favourite pubs in central Leeds. On a Thursday, they have an excellent free live jazz band, featuring 'Bones' on percussion who is still rocking at 80. There is a large range of bitters on tap, and you can actually get a pint of Tetley's mild here, along with regular well rotated guest ales. The interior is lovely and trad, plenty of mirrors and brass, and lovey boothed seating. Great pub.

Qype: International bar/concert in Paris

Paris

Cracking live music venue just off rue Oberkampf in the 11eme. Get yourself a decent feed in Chez Justine round the corner, and then go here for free live music until around 1200 every night. Beers aren't that cheap at €5.50 a pint, but then, compared to the rest of Paris they probably are. And since you don't pay to get in, it's a bargin.
